this is pretty random
as well as probably old news, but i am excited about it anyway. the Silent Hill movie is coming out soon and it looks like it is a combination of the first two games, perhaps with some HUGE liberties as far as the story. i saw a preview for it in nashville and it looks ok. i also got a fake newspaper from the towns around silent hill with all of these articles about silent hill and hauntings and whatnot. pretty neato.

Liberties appear to be the name of the game (OMGPUN) when it comes to movies based on games. *Waits patiently for Halo*
Liberties have good intentions, with trying to bring something new to the table. But that's saying I don't think I've ever liked a game based movie.
The funny part to me, is that the setting of Silent Hill would be a great example for someone to create an original screenplay in. Being as the stories, are initially different people venturing to the town, and interpreting it different. In the same way, the Legend of Zelda series could take these rights in movies. It's the same story told a different way. That's just my two euro's.
